The Wizard of Our Endless Story

We would have sailed the Sea of Calm,
Shutting out the world, held in each other’s palm.
Wild kisses mending the wounds we’ve borne,
Softest touches easing scars once torn.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
With blazing passion, we’d fuse each shard,
The Tin Man’s chest would beat so hard.
The Lion within you would roar awake,
New heart, new strength, no chains to break.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
And in me, the lost child, the Phoenix unseen,
The Scarecrow of hope would rise in between.
Your arms my home, your breath my light,
Your gaze the mirror where I’m right.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
Love would slip beneath your armor’s shell,
Teaching you to believe, to love yourself as well.
And I would see me through your eyes,
Two souls reborn where illusion dies.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
Endless passion as a healing fire,
Thirty years of pain consumed by desire.
A new addiction, freeing what we’ve known,
Curtain falls, the puppet show is overthrown.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
No more control, no need to pretend,
Life made real at the journey’s end.
You in me, and me in you, Home in your arms, my solace for you.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
If Oz had tried to bind us with shadows and lies,
Our love might have lit our hearts, opened our eyes.
If Alice had held the lost, the scared, the torn,
Then in her arms, new strength could be born.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
Oz might be defeated, powerless to harm,
Our hearts entwined, safe in love’s charm.
Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, and child,
United in spirit, fierce and wild.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
Four broken souls could have burned as one flame,
Together we’d rise, no fear, no shame.
Hand in hand, through storm and strife,
Two souls as one — defying life.
